Back to School DIY Ideas

August 11, 2017

It's the middle of August, and that means school is right around the corner. Parents are happy their kids won't be driving them crazy anymore. But before you get your kids out of your hair and send them back to school, it's time for some DIY projects! Check out these 10 awesome DIY ideas to make the upcoming school year run a bit smoother.

Floating Organizer:

This is the holy grail for an organizer. Everything you might need and more are incorporated in this design. The added room for creativity is a plus. If you aren't set on the plain white boarder, make it pop with our Ultra Marks! Bethaney from Realility Day Dream used them in one of her projects.

Homework Caddy:

If your kids don't do homework in their room or if you live somewhere warm, this homework caddy is a must have. If you don't like these colors, stain it with our Solar-Lux NGR Dye Stain!

Mini-Desk Organizer:

Super sleek, and super handy. Keep your desk looking modern and clutter free. You could also decorate it, which is why it's great for anyone. We reccomend using Pro Marks if you want to keep a minimal look, but spice up the edges with just a touch of color.

Bag Holder:

Do your kids throw their stuff done when they get home? You can use our Solar-Lux NGR Dye Stain to change the colors up, but make sure the letters will still be visable.

Corner Organizer:

If you have a corner near your desk, this organzier is perfect. You can customize it to your liking, but folders and papers won't stand a chance against this thing. Or you can store all your Mohawk products on this. Just saying.

Crayon Holder:

If you have younger kids, this crayon holder would save you from plenty of future messes. You could also change the hole size to fit other types of writing utensils. A combo of Solar-Lux NGR Dye Stain and Ultra Marks would work wonders for this project.

Chalkboard:

You can use this chalkboard for almost anything. To-do list, chores, schedules, etc. It's so versatile and unique we had to add it to our list. If your kid ever gets a dent in it, use our Fill Sticks to repair it.

Picure Frame:

This frame got converted to a daily to-do list. One of my personal favorite projects on this list. Touch up any corners or edges with Pro Marks

Desk Organizer:

If you didn't like the floating organizer from above, this is the alternative. Plenty of room to store items and lots of space to keep track of important papers. Use Solar-Lux NGR Dye Stain to get rid of the boring white.

First day Plac:

And last but not least, if you're like most moms, a first day of school picture was mandatory. Now this would help build memories to smile while looking back on.
